Description of XFasten RV Repair Tape, 2-Inch x 50-Foot, Weatherproof White Rubber Roof 🔧 Patch Tape for RV Repair, Window, Vent, Boat Sealing, and Camper Roof Leaks

Industrial-grade RV Roof Repair Tape that delivers a watertight sealing on RV roof, windows, and vent; shutting off moisture, dust and corrosive chemicals. This RV Sealant tape withstands extreme outdoor conditions: heat (230F), UV exposure, freezing (-60F) and dust. Mess-free RV rubber repair tape adhesive delivers a neat finish, EMPOWERING the AVERAGE RV owner with little to NO EXPERIENCE in repair to achieve a PROFESSIONAL-grade repair. Flexible rubber surface allows the white camper repair tape to curve and flex, enabling repairs not just on flat surfaces, but also on curved corners. High coefficient of expansion permits the camper repair tape to expand or contract to adjust to extreme outdoor temperatures. Self-priming butyl adhesive also enables users to install the tape with little surface prep and still deliver a long-term to permanent repair.

Good material for cleaning and maintenance

This material has excellent adhesion.! Only time will tell how durable it really is. I use it on fiberglass tears on the side of my van, on the roof vent plastic and on the rubber roof. It doesn't stick when it gets cold, FYI. I put it on when the sun was shining even though the temperature was chilly, but when the sun hid behind the trees it wouldn't stick. I put a warm compress on it where I wanted and it stuck well.

  • New

Holds up like a 'Grim Death'

Butyl tape is an excellent roof repair tool that combines a salary with another roof underpayment. I used it to glue the top of the drip tray to the roof surface to seal it completely. An elastomeric roof coating was then applied to this on a low slope deck. The only reason it's not easy to use is because the glue is very sticky, but that's why you chose it. Haven't used it long enough to speak of durability, but it should be good.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • No Instructions

You get what you pay for. Pay extra for EternaBond!

This material is thinner than EternaBond, not as sticky as EternaBond and MUCH harder to work with than EternaBond! Pay for! I've used EternaBond on a few RVs in the past, but I recently bought a cheap $2,500 RV to take back to the woods, mostly for grandkids to keep them away from our $40,000 toy truck. I had some EternaBond but it wasn't enough to seal all the seams in the roof. So I bought a roll of this material because it was about $30 cheaper. I'm glad I didn't buy this crap for a more…

Not as thick as others but better suited to my needs

This material is thinner than branded tape but better suited to my needs. I needed 100 feet of 2 inch wide tape to go over the previously taped seams as an extra layer of waterproofing. I bought 50 feet of 4" wide duct tape and cut it down the middle. This saved me about $12 (I'm a cheap skateboarder). Since I was using this as a seam cover and not for repairs, the thickness was just perfect and the seams looked pretty neat. After application I restored the entire roof with 3 coats of Hengs…
