Filter too thin/expires slowly
First, it is too expensive to attach a plastic square to the filter. It's easy to install. We have an outside staircase with a drain in the basement. I didn't want leaves and rocks to clog it. The main problem is that the filter empties very slowly. I could foresee a scenario where flooding would occur and the filter would not be able to handle it, causing the stairwell to flood. To solve this problem I had to cut holes higher in the filter to allow for more drainage. That being said, be sure to check it carefully several times a year to empty the bag (depending on how much junk it accumulates). .
