Preassembled and easy to install—just remove the grate, place the filter within the basin grate seat, and reinstall the grate. Perfect fit but one thing is missing

This works great and I haven't had any issues with water not passing through the filter fast enough as some users have reported. I think it all depends on the amount of water you get. This is my heaviest area at the back of a 3,300 square foot. feet, and it easily handles a drainpipe during the worst of a flood. FYI if you like stringing a mosquito donut on your pool screen. The donut must not touch the bottom of the sink as the strainer sits between the grate and the bottom of the sink.

Building Materials Design Flaw

This sink drain filter is a good idea and I was glad to find it as an option. However, it is constructed incorrectly. The overall width of the filter is only about 8.813 inches, which should be 9 inches. As a result, the grid screw slots are not far enough apart for the screws. To make room for the screws, I cut slots around the edge of the filter. After installing the filter, the grate does not sit flush with the top of the sink. Filter too thin/expires slowly

First, it is too expensive to attach a plastic square to the filter. It's easy to install. We have an outside staircase with a drain in the basement. I didn't want leaves and rocks to clog it. The main problem is that the filter empties very slowly. I could foresee a scenario where flooding would occur and the filter would not be able to handle it, causing the stairwell to flood. To solve this problem I had to cut holes higher in the filter to allow for more drainage. That being said, be sure…
