Use one of these before waxing!
I had to knead a lot to get it flexible (think of it as grip exercise) but once I worked it enough in my hands I could use it in 40 degree weather! Ideal for removing stuck sand from paint. The trick with clay bars is to keep the surface moist. I use a pump sprayer designed for pesticide application and mix a little (about 1/4 cup) car wash soap with a gallon of water. Keep spraying the surface to keep it smooth and slippery and the clay block will glide with little effort. One bar was enough to paint a small car whose paintwork was saturated with years of dirt.
