Review on 🐙 CoralVue Octopus BH-2000 Aquarium Filter with External 2000 Pump - Ideal for 125-Gallon Tanks by Jacqueline Jenkins

I bought this protein skimmer for my 75 gallon aquarium because I don't have enough sump space for one of the sump skimmers (I've since converted my sump into a large refugium). containing only the heater and the GFO reactor). I know he says he needs at least 2 days to break in but he's been pulling out a dark thick skimmat since his first day on the job. I have chosen not to use the sponges that came with the unit but I still have no problem getting microbubbles into the main tank. It's pretty quiet and I would say VERY quiet compared to the other skimmer it replaced in my aquarium. It's strong and durable with a very powerful pump. No leaks or problems so far. I am very happy with this skimmer and would recommend it to anyone with a 100 gallon tank or less that doesn't have enough sump room in the sump for a comparably sized skimmer.
