After researching options in the $300-$600 price range through reviews, specs, and visiting a retailer, I settled on the LG 32UN650-W. Image, brightness, and text clarity are okay for this price range. World Wide Web, mail and documents look clearer/better than the 1080 TN I replaced. Streaming is not a problem and the picture is excellent day and night. The sound is sufficient for my listening pleasure. Easy setup and no complaints so far other than the lack of a volume control. Using an app I found, MonitorControl v2.1.0, to control volume with a MacBook Pro keyboard, which is better than a small joystick. Launching the screen control is great for changing video modes, and splitting the screen is a quick way to instantly organize your open windows. My height-adjustable stand is stable.
