No app required! And it works.
works and does NOT need an app. I plugged it in and it worked the first time. Aha! (I haven't had as much success with other products.) I often buy CDs from the library and have no problem listening to them and playing them through my blue tooth speaker. This gives me the opportunity to listen to the entire CD and then decide if I want to add it to my music library. I wish the cable was longer and more flexible so I can move the external drive further away from my MAC book. (For this reason I only gave 4 stars.)
