This is more than a meat stand. However, check it carefully when you receive it. I have 3 of these, so I noticed a bad cast right away. It looked like a piece of metal. It happens, but I expected qc to find such an error before sending it. However, Revane took care of it. They are also extremely useful as heat sinks under pots as they disperse heat. I sometimes use two for a large pan roast because the roast is too long. It will rust if not cared for. Factory coverage is not very good. I dried it carefully, rubbed it with oil and put it in the oven just like you care for a new cast iron. You can also use it to scoop bacon (use two forks, one on each side for an easy movement), apply pressure to burgers, and if you're adventurous enough, it can be used as a vertical chicken roaster. Go to a hardware store and buy 100% copper tubing to fit the holes. Do you have a spare cell phone? Use it as a spoon holder. Place a plastic or foam board underneath. Trevet retains heat and excess drops fall off. A quick wipe on the top will keep any dishes you're cooking in order, and a quick hot water rinse and drying is pretty much all you need. Get extra!
