Review on 🦎 Aiicioo Reptile Heating Pad - 7W Terrarium Heating Pad with Temperature Thermometer: Electric Heated Warmer for Reptile Tanks by Kurt Ferguson

In the right circumstances this is the perfect heater

3 stars for lack of temperature control but it is an adjustable resistance controller that just doesn't have the ability to set a specific temperature. No glue included. Definitely a low cost, low power solution for some applications that actually works. I bought it as a lithium battery heater to use when the temperature drops below 32 degrees but never used it for that. I have used it as a heating pad for myself when sleeping in 35 degree temperatures. If you put this between two cotton blankets it will heat up to around 197+ degrees Fahrenheit at full temperature (I measured with a laser thermometer, could it be more?). If you keep it outdoors with radiant heat, it won't be higher than about 80-85 degrees. It takes about 1 hour to reach the maximum temperature. A reptile lying on it for some time will likely cook at full temperature, but the ambient temperature on the heater will only appear slightly warm if you don't put your hand on it for an extended period of time. For me, the perfect replacement (7 watts! That's practically free heat!) for thermal blankets that are designed without heat but are too hot to lay directly on. Since it gets close to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, I would also never put it on top of a material that is highly flammable or has a low melting point (like polyester and some soft plastics or spandex). But for linens and premium cotton, it's like going to bed with a low-temperature iron. :) You can use the optional (sold separately) temperature thermostat control switch to set the exact temperature to turn on and off to maintain the ideal temperature. There is no temperature control thermostat for this item, only resistance heater. This item is not waterproof. This item can be easily dented unless placed on a hard, flat surface which may affect functionality. Given the low power requirements, I plan to buy a smaller 5 watt heater and warm my cat's bed. With multiple layers between this heater and the pet, this would be the perfect low power solution for a pet bed or outdoor pet bed. However, this item is NOT waterproof, so use accordingly.
