Worked great for my Achilles leopard gecko

Worked great for my Achilles leopard gecko, I covered him in the tank with tape and put a reptile blanket over it and it kept the warm skin nice and warm. I recommend a rheostat to control the temperature range and a thermometer to see the heat in a digital reading.

Perfect fit for my IsoViva aquarium

This is the perfect size to fit under the IsoViva isopod's body. Other reviewers have (rightly) mentioned the lack of visual feedback on the temperature dial, but I fixed it with a dab of white paint. I'm surprised it offers temperature control at this price point, but it works and works well. Power wise it's only 7 watts so it does NOT heat the entire 10-20 gallon case but only a small area directly above which is why I bought it. Time will tell if it's durable or not. Very happy with the…

Get the job done! - Reptiles & Amphibians

I actually use this to heat my 6 gallon betta tank instead of my reptile tank and other than having to glue it to the bottom it's really great. I like that I can control the temperature and water heaters with this feature are too big for my aquarium. I have to remember to turn the temperature down after waking up and turn it back on in the evening, but that's more of a problem as I live somewhere hot somewhere 3/4 of the year than the product! I bought a similar product. It already had glue on…

Good for dubia cockroaches!

Some people said they weren't in the package or something different than mine. Good product for its price. So far so good, although I use it as a bath heater to encourage my dubia roaches to breed. I don't know if I would trust him with my reptiles, I'm afraid it's getting too hot. Since there is no temperature reading on the dial, all you have to do is turn it on and stick a thermometer on it to see what the temperature is. But I don't mind the extra effort, so I don't mind. As others have…

Reptiles & Amphibians has it best

Well it works. This appears to help our Dubia colony reproduce. I was under the impression that it would be more adjustable I guess. I guess I can't say I'm not satisfied, but it's not what I imagined, so it is what it is. It works and doesn't cook insects. I have a bearded agama and you can't drown from below because they burn your belly but it works for insect breeding. I think I would have liked the option to put it on its side, but as it's getting colder and they're close to the ground…

I highly recommend this product for my application

I highly recommend this product for my application. Continue reading. Exactly what was stated was delivered to me quickly and securely packaged. I unpacked the oven and placed it on a piece of cardboard on my counter, took one of my very accurate digital cooking thermometers and set the oven to 80% heating surface. I was very pleased that the heater produced 120 degrees Fahrenheit at its highest setting. Installed under my small 5 gallon tank, it provides just the right amount of heat for the…

works fine so far.

I bought this product for my adorable little leopard moon gecko. I turned it all the way down and when I checked the temperature of the heating pad with a thermometer, it went up to 93.6 degrees. This is a great temperature for a leopard gecko. The air temperature at the side of the heater is usually between 80 and 80 degrees during the day and up to 70 degrees at night, depending on the air temperature in the room. If you have a leopard gecko in a 15-20 gallon tank or 66 gallon sterile tub…

Not bad for the price range

Not bad considering it was the only heating pad I could find in this price range with a built in temperature control. However, a few things should be noted. It has no sticky pads to stick it to the walls, bottom of the aquarium, etc. You will either need to buy your own heat resistant sticky pads or if you are like me just place them under the bottom of the aquarium tank.2. There are literally zero instructions. All of this is just a laminated flat pad and wire cable in a plastic bag. However…

In the right circumstances this is the perfect heater

3 stars for lack of temperature control but it is an adjustable resistance controller that just doesn't have the ability to set a specific temperature. No glue included. Definitely a low cost, low power solution for some applications that actually works. I bought it as a lithium battery heater to use when the temperature drops below 32 degrees but never used it for that. I have used it as a heating pad for myself when sleeping in 35 degree temperatures. If you put this between two cotton…
