Mostly plastic parts with pull-out steel ring. The plastic surface seen from above isn't very strong, so on my crappy Berlin tuned truck, which isn't aligned properly, some of the blocks aren't quite flat, they're slanted. If I over tighten them they don't work - the ring won't move in or out. I had to loosen any that didn't lay perfectly flat or didn't work, or used shims to straighten them. They're pretty reasonable for what you pay, they look good, haven't rusted at all from a month of intermittent inclement weather that someone here has complained about, and they've examined the rubbish heap without bending down. enough metal parts to be a solid product, I would buy them again.
