Review on Gates 38174 Belt Tensioner Assembly by Jeremy Flint

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the original piece!

Although it says Gates on the packaging, it is made in Germany by Litens, an original equipment manufacturer. If you search for part #1122000970 it doesn't show up for some reason but I can assure you it's the equivalent. At the dealer it will be around 250€. I made the mistake of buying a URO part here. Don't waste time. Pay $15 more and buy it! URO part #1122000970 is so poorly made it can't even be screwed into the timing case cover. The screw spacing was too narrow. There's no excuse for copying a part when you can't even get it right! It's just hard to find on Revain.

Pros
  • Full range includes parts for passenger cars, vans, SUVs and light trucks, domestic and imported (from Europe and Asia)
Cons
