I've used 2 drill bits so far. They seem to be doing the job they were meant to do. BUT with this type of bits, even brand name bits, you must use a lubricant (like light oil, ethanol, etc.) to keep them cool and prolong the life of the cutting edges. If you neglect this, don't expect to get your money from them! They are designed for quickly drilling holes in lighter, softer materials (i.e. less than 1/8 inch thick) and should not be used as a substitute for a good drill set in a well stocked drill set. They are therefore ideal for project boxes made of aluminum and plastic or electrical boxes made of steel. Overuse any tool and it won't last long. Step drills are not the answer for Primitive Pete. " work and don't care about the investment they just made in a tool. Or worse: someone else's tool. BTW: I only gave 4 stars because I haven't used it much yet, so may I don't "strongly recommend" on this basis. However, so far they appear to be of much better quality than the trebles I've purchased which have worn down on the 1st hole, even with proper use. Also: The plastic case is a nice little bonus Helps keep the edges (and your fingers) protected.
