    Scrap, do not cut for w*8

    The bit cannot be cut. I needed a large 1" drill bit to drill through my car's firewall for the car audio power cable. The bit is not sharp and will not cut. It barely enlarged the hole I had already made with another 3/4 diameter drill bit. The drill bit itself was already starting to discolor and was struggling to cut into the flimsy sheet metal, which my other 3/4 bit cut through with ease. Complete disappointment.     Large head damaged on first use

    Large head damaged on first use. We had to drill a stainless steel outlet cap. This is thin stainless steel. The big piece damaged 18mm and didn't make it to 20mm. We had to use other bits as a backup to finish. This left us with a corrupted bit. I'm telling you, that's the stuff they use in Beats. I have other similar bits; I have had them for many years. They all would cut thin stainless steel like butter; but they are not metric. Conclusion: Not the best beats I've ever used. No guard.

    At around $3 a bit they were suspiciously cheap. I only needed them to drill two 1-3/8" holes in sheet steel, but they had a tough time even with a 1" pilot hole. They're probably fine for casual work in plastic or wood, but if you're drilling steel, even thin sheet metal, I would strongly advise against this product.     Great beats, but need to be used properly.

    I'd only like to buy these for a project that involves drilling about 10 holes in 18 gauge stainless steel on barrels. There are a few reviews here that they can't drill through stainless steel and the bits have been ruined when used on a barrel. But after "correct" use of these bits, they drill like high-end drill bits. Drill a pilot hole, use slower drilling speed, cooling oil and strong pressure, they will drill almost anything and last a long time. I've made 10 holes in 304L stainless steel

    For the price I think they will be good for my occasional needs - and you might be lucky. Three of the five bits in the set I received had poorly formed guides that didn't drill well when testing PVC and steel electrical boxes. Once the steps are in they cut normally so an existing hole can be drilled or knocked out to a larger size. Full diameter treads are only 1/8" deep so you have to decide what to do with the thicker material. I don't know how durable they will be but I don't use them…

    Complete scrap no idea why this product is rated so highly. I would assume they are only good for plastic or very thin wall tubing. When they arrived I immediately noticed that they didn't look very sharp. Mild steel pipe (boat trailer). The rest of the chisels don't even dent: even moving slowly with lots of oil and a large initial size, most chisels won't even start cutting! I also tried fast moving and tried different sizes.     These are not bee knees from step nozzles, but.

    These aren't the best stepped nozzle elbows, but you can't beat the price. If you are a home electrician who needs to make changes to the box from time to time and you don't have step attachments. that's more than enough.     I've used 2 drill bits so far. They seem to be doing the job they were meant to do. BUT with this type of bits, even brand name bits, you must use a lubricant (like light oil, ethanol, etc.) to keep them cool and prolong the life of the cutting edges. If you neglect this, don't expect to get your money from them! They are designed for quickly drilling holes in lighter, softer materials (i.e. less than 1/8 inch thick) and should not be used as a substitute for a good drill set in a well stocked…
