Our kennel's claws became less sharp in a week

We are Native Americans and the pet care industry is less developed here. Finding shops and vets that provide good products and care for birds is a difficult task. Knowing that bird claw care would be difficult, we ordered it while visiting the US. Despite some warnings from the books, we find this very fitting for our green-cheeked kennel. Although most of his perches are made from natural wood cut from our neighboring trees, he now uses that space when eating from his plate of seeds. The upper part is smooth (which reduces the chance of the perch cutting the pads of the paws), pumice stone for the nails. The bird calmed down in a few days. And its claws became noticeably less sharp within a week. It's not a substitute for a proper haircut by someone with experience, but certainly useful for the day-to-day care of our bird. Cleaning the roost from dried manure is also much easier than you think. Just a (small) note. is that the perch came in a color that we didn't expect. The picture may be blue but ours is turquoise, not ugly but a little flashy. UPDATE: Six months later we actually ordered a second one because we were so happy with it. The bird's claw doesn't stay very sharp and it sits on it easily, pacing back and forth and is overall cute. So I stand by my agreement.
