Review on Discontinued Canon EOS 50D DSLR Camera Body for Sale by Indal Singh ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

I am writing a review already in comparison with RP and R6. Once upon a time, the camera, of course, was very interesting, a kind of analogue of 5d4 in mirrorless with a new autofocus on the eyes - everything is very cool. But I took the camera after 1 year of using RP, and there is not much difference in the result and work. But there are large dimensions, weight, price. This can be justified only if you really need (for example, for landscapes) 30MP and more DD at ISO 100, since cameras don’t cast at ISO 1600, and in general, when you process pictures from one place, you don’t notice without exif what to what removed. You need some strong differences in illumination at basic ISO to feel what you are paying for, such as shooting in the mountains during the day. And then for landscapes, I would take (and took) Nikon, but kenon is still about portraits and reporting. I also bought the R6, and on the other hand, it already has a significant step forward in control and auto-cushion, and Rki got out flaws that I hadn’t noticed before. Autofocus on the eyes is not so good, often there is a focus on the eyelashes instead of the pupil, especially with EF optics, and if you wear glasses, then it's a lottery. ISO 6400 is moderately noisy, but the colors degrade a lot, while the R6 is doing great. There are not enough buttons, but I adapted to the touch panel, in general, it is quite convenient. And I would still like a stub in the carcass at a price like competitors with a stub

Pros
  • good color Top cover - painted metal, looks and feels expensive Very good screen Not a bad matrix Comfortable grip Autofocus for eyes
Cons
  • Lack of controls No stub Price, weight and size in comparison Crop in 4k One card slot
