Nice to write a review on such a product. My biggest complaint is that some of the samples smell so good that I really don't want to use them in projects. Remember how small these things are. If you have a lathe, they make great handle blanks. I just wanted a set of patterns that I could use for future projects. One of the nine pieces had a fairly gross crack going down with the grain (Yellowheart specimen). It would be useless as a blank for a pen. But in general, and on average, the wood is of a much, much higher quality than most of us can find at our local bulk box store.
