OK. I still haven't figured out if I'm somehow inclined to increase the level of static discharge or if my car has some electrical problem. The truth is I always get ridiculously hard hits when I get out of my car. I've even developed a habit of approaching and touching things (like door handles) and people very slowly and cautiously after getting out of the car. I felt like people watching me probably thought I had some kind of OCD, or I was obsessed with germs or something. This little device works! It's about the size of a key and looks like an understated cute keychain. When I get out of the car I just touch the car with it and I see a little blue spark inside. Hey! I'm safe and sure I can touch anything! This only works if you get out of the car and put your feet on the ground, so I still have to be careful when getting out of the car. If I accidentally touch the car with my hand or foot during the exit process, yes, I'll still be shocked.
