Review on Sony BDPS1500 Blu Ray Player Model by Justin Hines

I use this to play DVDs and stream Netflix and download from my computer. I bought a new one and have been using this device for 2 years. It's basically a nightmare, you can be sure that it will crash at least every 2 days. To unfreeze, you need to disconnect and reconnect the device. It boots by simply typing commands through the remote, then gets confused and freezes. If you try many, many times to choose a movie or show to watch, you'll have to go back and re-enter your choices, hoping it does what you need this time. Sometimes you have to type the command again and repeat it up to three times. You can also count on it all the time. Another constant problem is that many buttons on the remote do nothing like only part of the device works, the rest of the time it works fine. If you are watching a series and want to return to an episode, you must log in, go back, log in three times to watch the episode you want to watch. I have two of these Sony devices, basically the same but with different model numbers, both work the same. It's like going back to 1985 technology and picking the worst. I've read that other brands have this problem too. Chinese-made bullshit, but made to Sony specs, so what's the problem?
