Review on πŸ”Œ Rekidm Powered USB Hub 3.0 with Extra Power Supply Port & Adjustable Clamp - Space-Saving Silver Desktop Hub for PC, Computer and Table Edge by Stephen Parkell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what the doctor ordered!

These hubs are exactly what I was looking for, they replace unassembled hubs and attach to the edges of surfaces such as desks and tables (see three photos of them on the table and behind the scanner stand). Be sure to buy the latest version of the powered hub, not earlier non-powered versions (power does not improve signal quality, but adds enough power to power or charge connected devices; however, longer USB runs still require an "active" extension cord one on the front end will also help). Note that I also use a couple of USB3 right angle adapters, these don't come with the unit but are handy for reducing cable clutter. The device comes with a USB power cable that ends in USB-A, but you'll need to provide a small 120V to USB converter like the ones that come with iPhones etc or connect to another Connect USB power source. The device also comes with a USB3 (AA) cable from the main source to the hub. The dimensions of the device show that it can be as thick as 32mm (0.39in), but if you remove the small screw-on security button you can get a few more millimeters, which is what I needed. I liked the first one. so many that I ordered two more.
