The product works and the price of $16 for a pair of grinders is quite acceptable. Haven't had them in a very long time so can't really comment on the quality other than to say that a really good set of grinders will have some sort of bezel on both ends. This keeps the grinder mechanism level at the bottom and the grinder arm straight up. This extends the life of your grinder as well as the quality of the grind you get. They don't have that, I expect them to last about a year and I'll be back in search of a reliable replacement. But it's about having the right expectations. My last set was $40 for a grinder at Williams Sonoma. Worked 3 years and died. So they essentially cost $30 a year if you average the cost of 2 over 3 years. It's a better deal at half the price per year. I know you get what you pay for but sometimes you get what you pay for as a high end set lasts three years, costs twice as much and gives a better cut. But is it worth twice the price for the same result? I don't know enough about the kitchen to really see the difference in grind size that would affect me. So overall a solid, predictable, mid-range product that I'll keep buying until I find an heirloom set that's worth the money and lasts a long time.
