This 2x2 ice cube mold for opaque cubes works just like more expensive machines. Directional freezing of water is achieved by adding warm water to the bottom insulated container while silicone cube molds receive colder water. Placed in a refrigerator's freezer, the cube-shaped section freezes first, forcing air and contaminants through the cube-shaped opening and into an insulated container beneath the mold, which freezes last. The result is crystal clear ice cubes. My first attempt yielded 10 crystal clear cubes in about 18 hours in the freezer. The cubes are easy to remove from the mold after removing the ice from the bottom container that sticks to the bottom of the mold. Definitely a bargain for €35! Highly recommended !
