Can I give this a ZERO?

Today my wife and I wasted our whole Sunday destroying a beautiful door and I am very angry. Why? This dog door came with instructions and a 'template' to cut out part of the door to install the dog door. There's also a tutorial video online that we watched a few times before we started. On the instructions page, the template shows the exact dimensions that need to be cut into your door. We measured our dogs, measured the door, and cut the door to fit the dog door. When we attached the door to the hole, we saw that all of the screw holes connecting the doggie door to the door were over the open space. The holes were not over the door because the hole we cut in the door was too big. Again we used the PATTERN WE GAVE TO MEASURE THE HOLE WE CUT! After rereading the instructions, a benign box will appear that says "Note" followed by instructions to cut an inch less than the template on either side. Why not just size the f%$king template correctly? Will it be too difficult? Do you provide a perfectly clear template with dimensions and then tell people in a small classifieds area that the template is the wrong size? WTF? The manufacturer's video makes absolutely no mention of this, and the "note" should have said WARNING IN BIG BRIGHT RED LETTERS because that was the most important information to know before starting work. I'm so angry right now I can barely see clearly. We're trying to salvage this project by building a Frankenstein hole inside with pieces of wood to make it work. This keeps the wings on the two sides of the dog flap from touching, and when you try to bend it to fit, the plastic screws don't go into the holes to hold the two sides together. IF YOU KNOW THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF IT WILL MAKE IT WHEN HOME, WHY NOT MAKE IT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE? YOUR TEMPLATE IS A JOKE AND I AM SURE WE ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE HAVING THIS NIGHTMARE. A dog door is one thing, but a $500 door that we spent hours locating and lifting and then spent all Sunday trying to no avail to put it together, I'm furious and feel like we deserve a serious apology and a refund!
