Works as advertised
This is an amazing device. I bought it because my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. Connected to a USB 3.0 port on my laptop, I get gigabit transfer speeds. This allows me to back up files to the NAS three times faster than 5G Wi-Fi. It's recognized right away, my laptop automatically uses the faster ethernet, and I'd like to point out that it doesn't get hot like some adapters do after a while. It might go to sleep, but the Wi-Fi won't connect until I unplug the adapter. I didn't rate technical support because I don't need it.
