Review on πŸ” Dorman 926-040 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor with Filter for Compatible Models by Chase Hosea

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extremely satisfied: gearbox and gearbox

Installed on a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0LI. Installed a different brand a few years ago when I needed to replace a faulty plug and cable. Oil pressure always showed a high reading on the gauge and through a very expensive snap-on scanner. The temperature dropped to 30F outside one morning. I started my truck to warm it up a bit and get my tools ready. I went to go and the display told me the oil pressure was low. Shut down, serviced and key turned. The oil pressure rose slightly without starting the engine. Aha! Bad broadcast block. I replaced it with this block and the pressure shows a normal level, not too high as before. Some people don't like Dorman, but the products I've used have all been good quality and usually solve a known OEM issue. All my research has shown that I don't need a screen on my model, so I didn't try to use the screen that came with it. I've heard a lot of people remove this screen anyway, so this may not always be good information. The Dorman oil supply unit I used worked great. As expected, the oil pressure changed slightly while driving and under load. The one he replaced barely moved. I think Dorman solved my problem. I wish I had used it many years ago. Worth every penny! Make sure you are using the correct port. Luckily my brother had the right oil well. The universal socket I bought will work, but not as well. Saved my headache and skin on my ankles
