Size: As others have pointed out, I had to buy one size smaller than I normally wear. However, they fit well. I have a very wide foot and that wasn't a problem. They were snug enough to keep a lot of sand out, even when I was in the surf or deep sand at the beach. I bought these and used them on my recent trip to Maui. I used them to talk from the car to the beach and into the water for snorkeling. They are thick enough at the bottom to comfortably walk on concrete, asphalt, small rocks and other debris. You have to be careful when stepping over large, pointy rocks, but they still work well. They are a great addition to my beach and snorkel gear and will continue to be my companions in the future.
