not very useful, at least in my case. Instead, you'll need to buy a ball joint splitter (not a pickle fork, the pickle fork destroys the parts you're trying to separate). In my case, this tool was unusable due to the limited space, my machines are German and their technique is slightly different. A ball joint splitter lets you separate parts in just minutes with minimal effort. Btw the tie rods are under pressure, be very careful when separating these types of parts, if they fall apart they will come loose with a lot of force, if they hit your chest it could cause serious injury so the point is that all parts of the body remained clean. I've seen installation videos and according to them you just have to reinstall the nut to be able to apply pressure to reinstall parts. Hope that helps.
