Derlson 50 Mile Indoor TV Antenna Review - Receives Channel 2 NBC Chicago

I was looking for an antenna that would receive Channel 2 in the Chicago (CBS) area and there are about 4 out of 5 that I have have tried . Most of them have ABC, NBC and a few other stations but I thought I'd give it another try and almost fell over when I scanned and saw that 2.1 showed up. 2.1 is the digital channel for channel 2. I live in Chicago's Southwest suburbs - in the Naperville/Plainfield/Bolingbrook area and have read other reviews from people who have had the same problems as me. I first scanned the channels with an antenna on the wall just above my TV just below the ceiling. It wasn't placed much other than where my bunny ears are. I was shocked when he took the 2nd channel off, but I noticed it went in and out a bit. My first scan with an antenna directly above my TV showed only 53 channels. I decided to put it by the window as it comes with a very long cord. I placed it just above the south window in my house. I'm pretty sure the tower I'm looking for is to the north, but I didn't have a window that faced so that was the best I could do. With the antenna at this point, I have almost perfect reception on channel 2. I noticed some dead pixels, but that doesn't stop me from watching the program. With the antenna in that location, I decided to scan again and got 59 channels. I might try another one in our family room to see if we could get our channels even better there as this room has a window on the right that faces south and east. our television. I had to use a plug amp that wasn't difficult to connect. I needed an adapter because it is a USB plug. I think some TVs have a USB port but I don't think we have. To be honest I didn't look, I just plugged it into the USB port I plugged into the outlet. I have a few of these so there were no problems. I can't get a channel without it. My other antenna had no connector. This one works and has a red light to let you know you have power. I am enthusiastic about this antenna and can recommend it unreservedly! Thank you for reading my review, Becky Brooks. Antenna is free for testing and checking.
