Review on Wright Products Black Tie-Down Push Button Handle - V333BL by David Underberg

Easy replacement, handle works great but lock doesn't work

UPDATE: Less than a year later, this product had an issue - a metal rod punched a hole in the handle (see second picture). Bought a cheaper one and ended up using the handle and part of the door frame from that one while keeping the handle from that one. No new holes had to be drilled, only the "spindle" had to be shortened by two grooves, as stated in the instructions. Total installation time was about 10 minutes. The strike plate that came with this one was a simple piece of metal, while the old one was a "bar in a channel" which seemed more durable (see bottom right corner of my picture). The only downside is that the lock doesn't say "Closed". When the door is open I can click the lock and still press the outside button to open it. Another thing I learned is that the old lock had a "leaf texture" over it, but this one didn't. But if I wanted, the back of the box shows that they also make this design (VC333 instead of V333). Luckily there weren't any holes hiding behind it, so this one looks good on the door.
