Review on 🍳 Efficient Red Norpro Silicone Microwave Double Egg Poacher by Jeffrey Johnston

Great egg cooker! suitable for poachers with eggs

I needed a safer alternative to my old plastic poacher microwave that was probably BPA free so I ordered this. I'm so glad I did this because my eggs cook so much better than my old ones. First, it's not exactly a poached egg because you don't have to add water, so the texture is different. I consider this a plus as you don't have to drain the water before eating. I use this because sometimes I need a quick egg (1 minute 15 seconds at 50% power in my 1000w microwave) that has a fully cooked egg white with a slightly runny yolk. I only eat one egg at a time so I don't know how long it takes for two. Tips for using this egg cooker: I always spray my mug with cooking spray and have never had a problem with an egg stuck to the bottom. . Also, I always poke the yolk several times with a toothpick to prevent an explosion in the oven. It also seems to help the egg cook more evenly. I've read several complaints that this poacher is too thin and flops when you try to wear it. Carry it with both hands with your thumbs up to keep the lid in place and use your fingers evenly under the side along the entire length of the poacher and you won't have a problem. It's just common sense really, and unless you're literally a curmudgeon, you shouldn't have a problem moving this thing around without spilling your balls. It's fast, easy to clean and appears to be very durable. I am very happy that I bought this product!
