*UPDATE. I've found my fat cat lounging around on this new screen quite often when I'm not in the room. Luckily it's an animal. The steel mesh sags slightly under his weight but is otherwise intact. Definitely glad I bought it! I was initially a bit apprehensive about buying it as I wasn't sure it would fit in my 60 gallon tank (which housed my beard). The dimensions listed for the screen are 48 inches long while my tank size is 48.5 inches. I was hoping that if not it could be adjusted but it wasn't necessary. This lid fits perfectly in a tiny piece of free space. The mesh is thicker and stronger than the screen that came with my 40 gallon rig, which one of my cats fell through out of curiosity. I have some concerns that it will detach from the frame, but I (more specifically, the cat) won't be testing it to find out. So far, I am very satisfied. This is exactly what I was looking for.
