Safely packaged and arrived in excellent condition, this item makes the perfect starter kit. Binoculars do not require adjustment and beads. The compass works adequately and is a great compass for beginners to learn how to use properly. Instructions for proper use are packaged with the training kit. The whistle is a nice addition to warn others, and the thermometer works with Fahrenheit on one side and Celsius on the other. The flashlight is small, but ideal for small hands and provides sufficient illumination. I think this is a great starter kit and it packs to keep everything neatly inside with a loop for attaching to a backpack or belt. When I saw the set I wish I had ordered an extra set or two and would recommend it if you have other siblings or friends to explore with your child.
