Works great, looks great. Note_ The remote control uses batteries and only works with batteries. The device MAY be plugged into an outlet to turn it off or on; for the fan (or whatever you have plugged into the outlet where you install it) with the button on the bottom of the unit which is a mechanical switch. Batteries are still needed as the wiring is done with a mechanical switch just for convenience. The remote control is not powered by AC power. For those claiming that the dimmer doesn't work: the dimmer function can be switched on or off by pressing the on and off buttons at the same time for a few seconds. just like installing a light switch. I particularly like the separate on/off switch for the dimmer. Other remotes just have a button that you hold down to toggle between minimum and maximum light and back.
