I have had a Hunter Douglas ceiling fan/light control for years which I find very convenient. You can't do it anymore. I replaced it with another Hunter Douglas controller which I picked out in a hurry because I needed something urgent. It's a shame I took my time. I don't like this controller at all. Installation was very easy. Works fine in a wallbox unlike other reviews. The range seems good. My problem is that it only dims my dimmable LEDs that come with the Hunter fan down 3 levels. From SUPER bright to still bright. There is no true blackout ever achieved. So basically I leave it on the lowest setting all the time and it's just on or off. Works great, looks great. Note_ The remote control uses batteries and only works with batteries. The device MAY be plugged into an outlet to turn it off or on; for the fan (or whatever you have plugged into the outlet where you install it) with the button on the bottom of the unit which is a mechanical switch. Installed a new fan last weekend, hooked up the receiver that came with this wall control, plugged in that wall control, then hooked up two additional handheld remotes and everything works exactly as it should.
