Tried 2 times before giving up

iPhone 11Max Pro / 18 Infiniti Q50 Bought the version without charging last week. It arrived and I assembled the parts with no problem. Then I noticed that the part holding the phone was loose. Something inside was wrong, which would no doubt have caused the phone to wobble (like a bobble head) in the cup holder. I liked that it had a button that opened the temples to insert the phone. Then I sent it back and bought this version with charger. The first thing that struck me was how difficult it was to attach the ball head phone holder to my arm. It took a lot of effort to get the ball inside. I had the screw as loose as possible. At one point I definitely thought it might be broken due to the amount of force I had to use to put it together. Next, it has NO button to extend the arms that wrap around the phone. You have to manually pull outwards to the width of your phone. When I tried to squeeze my hands back around the phone they went in, they protruded about 0.5mm from the phone and didn't form a snug fit. No matter what I tried it just didn't fix the phone in the stand. A speed bump and the phone would fall out, or worse, a pothole on the freeway. Next, the link arm, which isn't a gooseneck, is a bit odd. It was difficult to remove the hand and phone holder under the shift knob. This is of course due to the design of the console with the placement of the cup holders and shifters on my car. **NOTE** These cup holders/phone holders rely on tension on four sides to stay in place. If your vehicle has the cup holders open in the middle, like they do in my car, then you won't be able to create four points of contact, only three. You can really squeeze the grip to try and lock it in place, but it will never be as secure as these three-point contact holders**
