Review on πŸ“Έ AbleDIY Dual-sided Acrylic Display Boards for Tabletop Product Photography: Non-Reflective Black & White + Reflective Options by Josh Maher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for small online photography.

I bought these specifically to photograph my homemade pens for my shop. I only used white fabric before purchasing. I could never get a great white background until I used them. I use my Samsung Galady Note 5 camera in Pro mode and shoot in my basement. I've replaced all my fluorescent ceiling lights with Phillips Natural Light, 5000k. Two of these sit above my 4 x 4 desk, which is still covered in white fabric, but I now use a white reflective square under my pen tray/velvet pockets. In addition to the two 40-watt Phillips fluorescent lights overhead, I use a third Phillips 5000k Natural Light bulb. , built into the reflector with a clamp (from the building depot). I use these on the top left or right to minimize the shadows. Now and then I use the black square I'm holding in my hand as a secondary reflector, again to reduce or minimize shadows. The white reflective finish worked great and provides a durable finish. Most of my subjects weigh between 1 and 3 ounces and are no longer than 6 inches, and I've had no problem keeping my field of view within a square area. I haven't re-photographed all of my subjects yet, and I might try a black reflective finish on my fountain pens (but everything seems "standardized" to white). Recommended for photographing small objects (with Phillips Natural Light fluorescent lamps). www.ladapenco.com
