Bought these to replace a very old pair of similar material and construction which have become absolute favourites . They are just as good as the originals. Easy to use and clean, provides a great grip for removing hot items from ovens and hobs. I prefer this type of glove to all others. One reviewer expressed concerns about safety and the possibility of burns. I've never had a problem with mine and have never burned myself while using them. There may be some heat transfer directly along the stitched area, but not enough to cause a burn and the hand may only touch the stitched area when the glove is put on somewhat awkwardly. I've done this a few times over the years and then I've noticed some heat, but it wasn't a cause for concern. This is a great glove - the grip they provide is so secure I never worry about slipping off and they offer great burn protection.
