I also visited Spikes before purchasing these tires. After five years, the status quo must be altered. So, I deduced that Japan, with its Spike-02 sport utility vehicle model, sought to improve the stability of the spikes within the rubber. The past gave me joy, and I gladly accepted the present. The drastic alteration to the tread pattern is immediately noticeable. After only one season on skates, I can claim that they are as balanced and durable as a tire. The tread is undamaged and has not lost any of its spikes. The grip on the surface is superb. They meant to make changes to the spikes, but instead they ended up making improvements to nearly every aspect. The tread was modified for a reason; it provides superior stopping power. The durability of these tires is fantastic. If Bridgestone's spikes hold up over the next few winters, they'll get my top rating.
