I like the look of these sketchbooks, they are simple and not too heavy. The first thing I noticed is that the lids are easy to scratch and leave marks. So if you want something more permanent I wouldn't recommend this. Mine arrived with a few scratches but I didn't care. On the plus side, it lays flat very easily and the sides don't require a lot of pressure to stay in place. However, if you ever intend to rip out your pages, they are sewn in, so that's a little tricky. If I want a clean cut, I use a box cutter. The bookmark is a nice touch, and if you're left-handed like me, this album makes it easy to draw backwards. The paper itself is quite thick. You can use multiple markers in it if you like, but from what I've used so far, Prismacolor alcohol markers bleed. Use a blank sheet of paper underneath the one you're working on and you'll be fine.
