Really wanted a large flat rim but wasn't the right size for a 2.75" x 1.5" laundry tub with center grid. As it traps dirt/grit much better than other 2mm holes and I have no problem removing lint frequently. (First sprinkle small sand-like rocks and pine needles on a paper towel, then turn the damp, rolled paper towel halfway down to pick up what's left after you've pulled out the clumps of lint.) Another problem was the packaging . The nipple-shaped screen was placed in a lightly padded envelope and crushed beyond recognition on arrival. It could actually be pinned in the shell versions in the same envelope and secured with a small piece of tape. but it was at the end of the envelope and FLAT. The fine mesh is ALMOST ok after some manual reshaping. Then he went to install it in the utility bathroom, but it's too small. I think you got the wrong one.
