How does MG Chemicals Solder compare to generic competitors? Hm. Having bought countless rolls of this stuff from MG Chemicals over the years, I have to say that their product works the best in my experience. It seems to have a good shelf life (someone doesn't consume large amounts of this stuff), doesn't seem to oxidize much if left unused for a while, and is quite effective for its intended purpose. As mentioned above we have been using their products for many years and always buy the same brand. This is a basic product and I was given no reason to look for an alternative. It just works.
