Insert this tool, fit the ratchet and turn. Amazing what a fraction of a millimeter is when working with rackmounts like this. Therein lies the problem. The tool is made of a harder metal, which ensures a long service life. However, the strut mount is aluminum (at least on BMWs) and if you have to use it multiple times, the tool will gouge the aluminum. This forces you to move the instrument to a new location. Eventually you will run out of spots.
