This would deserve 5 stars if you didn't have to run to your local hardware store! The materials needed to make it work cost less than $10, but the time it took to get everything needed was far more valuable. How: You can't beat the quality and price of this pump. This is a powerful pump that will move a lot in a short amount of time considering it pumps water through a 3/4 inch garden hose. Essential for servicing your tanks at home or where you don't have direct access to a landfill. Dislikes: This does not come with an outlet garden hose adapter. The other reviewer here also shows the parts needed for a cheap job, but why on earth isn't that included? 99% of people will use some kind of garden hose connection. no 1 inch hose fitting! A 1" hose connection may be required for boat use, but this pump is listed for an RV so a standard 3/4" garden hose connection is required. WHY are they selling it like that? Another thing I didn't pay attention to is the cigarette lighter type power adapter that comes with it, but I think that's standard. Instead, I ran my own fused 10 gauge power line to my landfill. I replaced the cigarette lighter plug with a standard SAE 12V plug, installed the mating plug side by side and grounded it to the frame. Now I can just stick it straight into the landfill. I put the same type of connector on my emergency air compressor so I could plug it in since it was next to my tires anyway. Garden Hose Tools (Output Side).* Everbilt 1 inch. ID x 3/4" MIP plastic hose adapter. Model #800319. Available from Home Depot.* 1" ID x 1-5/16" OD x 10 ft. Clear braided PVC vinyl hose - you will need 6 Available in stacks at most hardware stores.* Stainless Steel 1-3/4" Worm Drive Clamps. Quantity 2. Available at any hardware or auto parts store. Tooth clamp. (ONLY GET THE PVC VINYL TYPE AND NOT THE CLEAR MATERIAL OR YOU HAVE A VERY BAD DAY! Any kind of pressure. HD doesn't sell braided 1" PVC footing so you'll have to go elsewhere for that. Insert hose adapter to the other end of the hose and secure with the other hose clamp. It's now Ready to be used with any standard garden hose, but I recommend using a 3/4 inch ID hose if possible.
