I put a filter (the size of a bean bag) in my own jug and noticed no difference in filtration or flavor compared to a bottle from this company or in my own jug (what is a plus). If you don't want to spend money on bottles (which I would recommend because they are amazing) the filter itself is just as magical. It lasts long and you can filter more water at once. So if you're a heavy drinker like me, this is definitely a plus. There's even a noticeable difference between my fridge water and filtered water and I'm not sure if that's cool or annoying, but either way the water tastes cleaner/pleasant and seems to improve my digestion as well. I would recommend trying it!
