There were about 100 old (!) loose slides in the bag. Another family member adopted our old viewer and lives across the country. This one was ancient - but so similar to this one! What I like best is that the light is NOT fixed so no wasting batteries and lightbulbs! I really enjoyed seeing slides that I had never seen before because for some reason they never made it onto the carousel and some of them - almost all of them to be honest - were worth seeing. Now I can decide what to take with me and scan it onto my hard drive to share with other family members! I also appreciate that I came with a cleaning cloth and batteries.
