I will definitely buy something else for the house! When I first installed it, I didn't quite understand how to remove the transparent backing. The backing actually peels off quite easily, but you have to look closely to see you're pulling it back since it's so see-through. Installation Recommendations. Clean the window immediately with Windex or glass cleaner, adhere the tint to the window (reflective side facing the window faces out), then use the included knife to cut about a quarter inch to three quarters of an inch across the window. so you don't lose a lot of time. Spray the window with soapy water. Remove the tint completely from the window to begin removing the clear backing using two pieces of tape as directed. After removing the 6 inch backing over the top, spray with soapy water and spray the window again. Then put it on the window. You need to hold 6 inches of paint on top with one hand to slowly remove the rest of the clear backing. Spray the windows and rear wall with water while driving. If necessary, after removing the entire backing, remove and reposition the screen. Once you've reached that point, you can use a felt tool to smooth out the shadow. Then you can trim the edge of the window around the perimeter with a knife and remove the excess. Then smooth it out with your tool, starting at the top and center and working your way out and down. Make sure you remove any air bubbles and you're done. This part should be extremely easy. Air bubbles should come out very easily. If that's difficult, you need to tint your window and back more. My second window went a lot easier because I knew what I was doing. My third window was a breeze! In the picture I took part of the window is tinted and part is not. I bought this tent to put up another one and decided to put it together over the top of my bedroom window. I paid full price for it so this is a very honest review.
