I bought these for my rec room wall to hold scissors, rulers and other tools that I always lose. The curvature of the hooks was too sharp to easily attach and detach the rulers as the holes are a bit lower than most kitchen tools, but that's easily fixed with a pair of pliers. While the magnetism seems strong enough for the flatter blades, the scissors are a little easier to detach than I'd like - perhaps a magnetic bar for tools would have been stronger, but the ones I've seen were too strong. utilitarian-seeking for my taste. This works great for my "off-label" use, so I'm sure it will be even better when used as intended!
