Full disclosure, I received this kit as part of a promotion. However, I would like to sincerely recommend it. The set is incredibly complete for its price. Some reviewers feel it's missing a thing or two. that you could definitely "upgrade" things. but you get a lot for the price. My only real complaint is that there is so much stuff in the box that once you open it and look it is difficult to close it. I have been working with wood for almost 30 years. Wood carving is not a hobby for everyone. It's not just sharpening a stick either. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to try this hobby. The set contains all necessary utensils. From wood to knife. to bandages for the inevitable scratches and cuts that will occur while studying. This kit includes both instructions and a link to the video tutorial. For the price this is a very complete kit and a great place to start. If you find yourself enjoying this hobby, you can continue using the kit and gradually add/upgrade over time. But as a starting point, this kit is almost perfect.
