Review on Yukon Gear SK CSGM14T Differential by Jeff Bridgewater

Although the picture gives hope that this is a genuine axle endplay shim kit for a solid axle, it is NOT. It is (probably) designed for two-piece axles. To eliminate endplay and PRELOAD the thrust bearing, I have the machine shop grind down a standard bearing spacer to about .050" thick and place it between the outside of the bearing. Race and unmodified seal. I've already sanded the standard disc about .250" thick, but if it's thinner, it slips under the belt sander's fence. Watch out for companies that say they have these pads. Most likely these are differential bearing spacers and are NOT needed to eliminate end play on the AMC 20.
