This cartridge is designed for use with a tire valve where the stem of the stem is in place and severely restricts airflow. However, it is very easy to make it "open" by simply drilling it from back to front with a 7/16" drill bit. A 1/4" chisel might also work, but I haven't tried that. This will knock out the pin that's supposed to be pressing against the valve core and open the throttle. Of course, you'll need to attach it to a check valve to make it practical but you already knew that This cam is useful for inflating hard to mount tires such as tractor tires and some car tires.
